Campus Events and Programs

Here at Temple Univeristy, the ladies of NCNW hold programs bi-monthly, usually on Thursday's. We discuss a range of topics that are relevant in today's society which include health, education, and social views as well as community service events. In upholding the mission of bringing together organizations with similar views and goals, we collaborate with other organizations on campus. NCNW Temple University Section also has an annual Tea Party, NCNW Week, and Mr. NCNW pageant which are highlights of the fall and spring semester!

Annual "hats-off" to Dorothy Height Tea Party

The Temple University section of the National Council of Negro Women celebrates the legacy of Dorothy Irene Height with an annual Tea Party. The tea party is dedicated to acknowledge Dorothy Height, who served as our national president for four decades. The ladies on the executive board discuss the accomplishments of Ms. Height, which furthered the prestige and positive direction of the organization. Over a light meal and refreshments, a bond is formed between members and executive board members as we come together to celebrate the history and legacy of our organization on a more formal and intimate level.

We have programs discussing topics ranging from health, education, and empowerment and with such an eventful week, we encourage all to attend because it's something you definitely don't want to miss!
